Steven M. Lynch, M.D. and Jeffery L. Rockmore, M.D., board-certified plastic surgeons of The Plastic Surgery Group in Albany, have been elected to active membership in the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Inc. (ASAPS), the leading professional organization of plastic surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who specialize in aesthetic plastic surgery. The mission of ASAPS is medical education, research, public information and patient advocacy.
Election to ASAPS is based on physicians' demonstrated commitment to continuing eduction, experience and skill, and is limited to board-certified plastic surgeons who concentrate their practices in aesthetic plastic surgery.
Only about one-quarter of all American Board of Plastic Surgery certified surgeons in the United States and Canada enjoy the exclusive priviledge of ASAPS memberhsip. Currently, there are aproximately 2,100 members in the U.S. and Canada.
Dr. Lynch received his M.D. from the University of Kentucky and completed his plastic surgery residency at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Rockmore graduated from Union College and Albany Medical College and completed his residency at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
