Susan Knott, Director of Nursing at The Plastic Surgery Group in Albany, Honored by Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation of Northeastern New York has awarded Susan Knott, RN, CPSN the 2004 Make a Difference Humanitarian Award. Ms. Knott is the director of nursing for The Plastic Surgery Group and is the founder of Circle of Hope, a recently formed breast-cancer survivors support group with nearly 300 members in the Capital Region.
Focusing on success rather than suffering, Circle of Hope provides a social and informational forum for breast-cancer survivors to meet, share ideas and celebrate living well.
Ms. Knott has been director of nursing at The Plastic Surgery Group for 13 years and has initiated many programs and treatment protocols. She provides in-service training and conducts regional nursing presentations. Last year, she received the Outstanding Achievement in Plastic Surgical Nursing Award from The American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses.
