This 25 year-old man did not have confidence with his shirt off and in fact, did not spend any time on the beach. The typical male patient with male breast tissue has a very difficult time with the accepted norm of going without shirts in sports and intimacy situations. It is sometimes surprising how this group of patients "hides out". Their lives are greatly altered no matter how strong and muscularly developed they are. This procedure takes about 2 hours and the incision in this case is just under the areola. Even great amounts of male breast tissue can come out of this small incision. The discomfort is quite easily controlled by pain medication. These patients are VERY happy after this procedure. Now shown at 4 months post op. Happy patient and happy doctor.
