The procedure involves removing a small piece of donor tissue from the patient's scalp that contains thousands of hair follicles. This strip of donor tissue is approximately 8 centimeters by 3 centimeters. Using stereo-microscopic dissection, the donor tissue is cut into thousands of extremely thin pieces, grouping hair follicles from 1 to 6 hairs per piece of skin. Taking into consideration the angle of the new hair growth and the required number of follicle grafts to create the most natural appearance, each follicle is precisely placed to create a new hairline.
