It seems there has been a recent increase in the number of celebrities opening up about their positive experiences with cosmetic enhancement. I’m asked a wide spectrum of questions during consultations for everything from Mommy Makeovers to facelift surgery at our Albany practice, and I consistently hear that a celebrity inspired the patient to finally learn about her or his options.
Cindy Crawford is one of the more recent household names who opened up about her use of non-surgical treatments, according to an article from the Daily Mail. “I owe the quality of my skin to my cosmetic surgeon,” she explained.
Crawford went on to list BOTOX® Cosmetic as one of the injectable treatments she uses to keep her supermodel complexion. BOTOX, and other injectable treatments such JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA™ XC, has become a more common component of many beauty routines. These non-surgical treatments can delay the need for cosmetic surgery, and they require minimal maintenance when it comes to follow-up sessions.
Similar to Crawford, many patients start with tropical ointments and then advance to minimally invasive and surgical options. The key to maintaining and enhancing any person’s appearance, celebrity or not, is the advice of a board-certified plastic surgeon. Regardless of the extent of a procedure, there is no substitute for the quality care that comes with the experience and training of a cosmetic professional.
