This is a middle aged mom with baby fat and she is a candidate for the formal liposuction procedure.  This is a representative case. However, she did not want to get into any surgical procedure with down time and chose CoolSculpt as an alternative.

It is necessary for patients to have realistic expectations.  This procedure is painless.  It can take a varying amount of time depending upon the areas desired to treat.  We have patients bring reading material or music or we provide both.  Kind of boring !  However, during that time of reading/sleeping etc, the CoolSculpt is working on the fat cells and hastening their absorption.  Not all are "frozen".  Improvements can be expected in the 20% range for each approach.  This does not seem like much but to patients that return quickly to their jobs and lives with little to no discomfort or down time, then there is a place for the option of CoolSculpting.

The patient is seen after 2 months.  There will be further improvement but you can see especially in the midsection, that there is a noticable change.  If the patient had another treatment, then this would improve more.

Surgeon: Steven Lynch, MD
Patient Age: 38
