Community Involvement

At The Plastic Surgery Group, we are a team of select plastic surgeons, nurses, and medical support professionals who are dedicated to our patients and the local community. Many are long time residents of New York who have grown up and were educated in our unique and remarkable state. They call local communities like Saratoga Springs, Schenectady, Troy, and Albany home. Here they raise families and provide aesthetic and reconstructive care to area residents, and people who travel from other states and countries. In addition to being dedicated to their cosmetic surgery patients in Albany, NY, our plastic surgeons serve a variety of causes and provide charitable contributions in our community.

John Noonan, MD

Dr. Noonan is an internationally trained, board-certified plastic surgeon who has extensive experience performing both facial and body contouring procedures and is dedicated to the delivery of excellent care to all of his patients. He gives back to his community in many ways including:

• Serving as the chief of plastic surgery at St. Peter's Hospital since 2007.
   
• Donating his time and talents to a bi-monthly craniofacial clinic he helped establish in 1983 at St. Peter's Hospital. Dr. Noonan offers facial reconstruction and cosmetic enhancements to people with cleft lips, cleft palates, and other congenital facial anomalies, as well as those disfigured by burns and trauma. This program is available regardless of the patient's insurance coverage or ability to pay.
   
• Volunteering with many international relief effort organizations such as Operation Smile, with whom he travels to South America, Southeast Asia, and the Philippines to restore facial features distorted or destroyed by conflict, as well as to countless individuals afflicted with cleft lip and other congenital facial anomalies.

Steven Lynch, MD

Dr. Steven Lynch is an assistant medical professor at Albany Medical Center and a member of AMC's executive committee.

Douglas Hargrave, MD

Dr. Douglas Hargrave is a faculty member at Albany Medical Center and a renowned area hand surgeon, specializing in reconstructive hand surgery for children born with congenital deformities.
